Thank you for your interest, but Joe Curcillo is no longer accepting clients.

As a former prosecutor, he serves as a challenging courtroom adversary when he is representing his criminal defense clients. As a former prosecutor, he handled numerous DUI, white-collar crime, and child abuse cases, as well as other types of criminal cases. Today, Attorney Curcillo's main practice area is criminal defense.

In addition to representing clients through his private practice, he currently holds the positions of Dauphin County Chief Solicitor, as well as Solicitor for East Pennsboro Township in Cumberland County. Mr. Curcillo brings highly valuable insight to the juvenile cases he handles, as he acted as a Juvenile Master for the Court of Common Pleas of Dauphin County from 2000 through 2011.

Background as a Prosecutor

Attorney Curcillo graduated with his J.D. from Temple University School of Law in 1985. Over the next decade, he went on to become an Assistant District Attorney and Deputy District Attorney in two PA counties (Clearfield and Dauphin counties), a partner at a private law firm (MacIntyre, Curcillo & MacIntyre), a Special Child Abuse Prosecutor for the District Attorney of York County's child abuse unit, and Acting Chief Deputy Attorney General for the PA Office of Attorney General.

He eventually redirected his focus to criminal defense, venturing out into his own private practice. Today, he is a highly experienced criminal defense lawyer who works vigorously to uphold the rights of individuals who have been arrested and charged with all types of crimes.

Because of the extent of his knowledge and skill, Mr. Curcillo has frequently provided presentations on trial advocacy strategies in Continuing Legal Education programs for the PA Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the PA Bar Institute, and the Dauphin County Bar Association.

In addition to that, he has worked as an adjunct professor at the Widener University School of Law and as an Evidence and Courtroom Presentation instructor at the regional Municipal Police Academy.

He is currently President of the Dauphin County Bar Foundation, Zone 3 Director for the PA Bar Foundation, a member of the PA Bar Association (PBA) Criminal Justice Section and of the PBA Editorial Committee, and a member of the PA Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers' Board of Directors.

He has previously served as President of the Dauphin County Bar Association (DCBA). In addition to his legal association activities, Mr. Curcillo serves as President of McDevitt High School's Board of Directors as well as President of the Psychic Entertainers Association.
